Garage Door Window

A garage door window is one of the latest trends in garage door manufacturing. There are many different shapes and sizes of windows and they can allow a lot of natural light into the area. This is great for multi-use garages that double as workshops, gyms, laundry rooms, and play areas.

Garage door windows are typically installed on the third panel of a four panel door although there are many different variations that can be done. Although they are great at increasing the amount of light inside the garage during the day they also allow people to look inside at night. Criminals often case an area first and if they can look into the garage and see valuable possessions it may entice them.

Because of this reason garage door windows are typically tinted with a mirrored reflection on one side. This prevents would be thieves from peering inside an assessing the situation. The garage is often their point of entry as well so it is good to keep it secure. Keeping the lights off at night helps as does keeping the driveway well lit. If in doubt just keep the valuables somewhere besides the garage.
